We do not collect payment information or data from third-party social networks.
We do not permanently store your audio files. When you upload a recording, it is processed in server memory and discarded immediately after the transcript is returned. We do not save copies to disk, use your audio to train ML models, share your audio with third parties for any other purpose, or review the contents of your audio files.
We use your information to provide and improve the Service, manage your account, send transactional and (if opted in) promotional emails, monitor for abuse and security threats, and comply with legal obligations. We do not use your information for advertising or profiling.
During sign-up, you are given a clearly marked, unticked checkbox to opt in to promotional emails (product updates, tips, occasional offers). Opting in is voluntary. If you do not tick the box, you will not receive promotional emails. To unsubscribe: click the link in any promotional email, or email hello@voicecast.app with subject "Unsubscribe." We honour all requests within 10 business days.
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share data with service providers (hosting: Railway and Vercel, email delivery) who are contractually bound to handle data securely, legal authorities when required by law, and business successors in a merger or acquisition.
Account information is retained while your account is active. After closure, personal data is deleted within 30 days. Usage logs are retained for up to 12 months then automatically deleted or anonymised. Audio files are never retained.
We use HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit, hashed and salted passwords, and backend access controls. No method of electronic transmission is completely secure; if you discover a vulnerability please disclose it to hello@voicecast.app.
Depending on your location you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data; object to certain processing; and withdraw consent for promotional emails at any time. Email hello@voicecast.app to exercise any right — we respond within 30 days.
The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. Contact us to delete any such data.
We use essential cookies only (e.g. session management). We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. We may use privacy-respecting aggregate analytics that do not identify you individually.
We may update this policy and will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, emailing registered users at least 14 days before changes take effect.
